Winters edge

Up rose sunshine afore the spring
the howling whistles, shrills a ring
thunder on yet quietly sing
wondering else the winter bring

Snow flurries rush a frequent hale
slippery stone about here now
sitting and fishing, in the eve
caught ought else’ except a sneeze

A shivering shake, lying wide awake
Rayburn yearning, to bake a cake
no place left to call thine own
nothing remains of a once loved home

She rests

The late summer rain fell, ends a spell of drought,
I hear a song of hunger and going without.
Thunderous water nourished the trees,
the wind dies down to lower the breeze
the flowers, the lawn, a mist settles in
the early autumn dawn a new era begins

Early Thursday, a red sun arose in the morning sky, remembrance of a beautiful day weeks gone by.
I felt the warmth of my skin  nourishment to the soul loved by kin.    a feeling of peace, deep within

I recall too soon, the bitter twist of karma    a bite from a vile snake charmer.   tragedy strikes the nation, the news is not good,       our queen is dead, hearts are filled with dread, another conservative leader makes her bed

A full package

Not a person had spoken to him in years
Without question the best in his field
A complete package, had not fallen apart
Never let the vultures steal his yield
The efforts made were uncontested
All this in a fashionable jacket
Underneath a vest that is double breasted
though beauty he could see all around
On the hills and in the ground
this story may seem good and sound
He was the loneliest scarecrow
That would ever  be found

Alone

A sunny day, one or two, none so many, but there’s  been a few,
I’ve never felt the warmth or joy, of holding near a loved ones ploy,
the secret wish to be close with me, just holding hands in the rain,
Gently kissing below the willow tree
I’ve never known what life is about, an unwanted feeling of fear and doubt
is it an illusion, a deep desire?
I’ve only known a disasters mire, bullying into submission, burning with fire.

A long hard trip

Intellectually astute, renowned for thinking, clever to the task, intuitively clinking, quickened logic formerly slick, emotional collapse when his brain went click.

Thoughts of the world, bridges built, towers of glass raised up from silt, mountains climbed, tunnels channeled, children hungry, politicians flannel

Disastrous read more bad luck news, a heart of flickers continual blues, he placed a rope on his neck then jumped from the bridge, said “what the heck”

Soul searching for peace, no peace found, regressing back to a torturous past, doomed throughout fading fast, nothing good would ever last.

Closing eyes, until feeling fine then flew like a bird for a moment in time, sparkling stars, tightening grip, was this real, or just a blip, a cup of coffee, with one last sip, tragic end to a long hard trip

My Dad

My dad told me a story of forty years before, when he was young and there was a World war, I thought ‘he is old, well; what does he know anyway’?
the petulance of youth never seems to fade, ignorance is everything when you know it all,
Life has been difficult, if only I could hear him once more, to really listen, intent to learn, I would have had less bridges to burn, my father was a hero, a young voluntary fireman, a royal airforce cadet, saving Saturdays for a little shilling bet, Harold, Red & Pat, a short tempered rat with a heart of gold, a maniac cat he owned, it would always attack, confused and alone now though surrounded by friends, most times I think my life would end, I’ve no more to give, burned to the ground, to rest a buzzing mind from an abnormal sound, no, stay quiet, not be found.

Do not look for me in the flowers

Do not Look for me in the flowers, the sky up above
A warm caress of love to your little girl pup
a Red breast Robin, comes quite near
gives a knowing look without any fear

I will not be a ghost wandering around
In the house there, I will not be found
I am not the the touch on your shoulder
the sound you heard jumping on the bed
I will not switch on the tv or open the shed

For god loved the world, he gave his only son
That whoever believes in him will be in heaven
Do not look for my reflection in the glass
I will be in heaven, probably sitting on my arse

do not cry for me for long,  you will see me again Do not look for me for long, an angel I will send  I’m not here on earth, I am gone.

I will see you in heaven, home in the sky
If you believe in Jesus, I will be by his side
I will look for you in the morrow’
I will search always, for you
somewhere over the rainbow
In the garden of Eden below the clouds too.

Complete part.

Miles apart, Close together,
Cliffs of chalk, mountains of heather,
awareness of presence, close to my heart
feeding a hunger, a feinted non-start.

Afraid of fear, dangers unknown,
wherever in the world, sadness alone,
contend to do right, a fiery red setter,
challenging rise of a future that is better

Don a cloud of grey and mist,
heavy heart, a mental twist,
Overcasting rain, well it gently falls
Overzealous thoughts, who knows or cares at all.

Who is your Judge?

One day, could be soon, there will be no choice…only one question to ask…
who  is going to judge you for what you do now?

Odious youth

Suffering youth a continual hurt
alone in the playground expelled as if dirt
wanting to feel wanted extradited out
wondering on earth what existence is about

Misunderstood throughout life
giving it the best to struggle and strife
hoping for a pain to end his misery
a sharp pointed knife in a whisky distillery

Dapple grey with powerful eyes
a horse in a field blinkered blind
Petra standing on the right side
his best friends nearby to confide

walking home alone the moon will follow
tipsy from drink sorrowfully hollow
photographs of children they have grown
beloved dog joyously chewing a bone
Tomorrow his birthday they all will come home

Call for compassion

1989 the end of the Cold War, the Berlin Wall falls
Nations joined large and small
The word on everyone’s lips, “one world together”
At last we can breathe an air of peace forever
Or so we thought, people without wanted more
People with’ wanted even more

The east has a new life, a new found freedom
Less restriction began, financial growth,
religious movement with gods love,
a new garden of Eden
Creating politicians over the earth with power,
there; aligned a chance to make good
openness to enjoy everything we should

Travelling across borders, enjoy different tastes
a possibility for ecological gains to make pace
Planting new seeds for breathable trees
Oxygenate lands with the new found peace
Expand seas, reams of ocean life
Greater developments of coral reefs

unfortunately with power grows greed
Selfish uncaring corruption are abound
Kindness ebbs away using propaganda
Hard sentiment for the poorest and less able
poison in the veins flow with debt
believe we have everything, we haven’t yet

Now we are in dangerous times, a world at war
Putin kills people, ‘just people!
Fathers, Mothers, Children die, homes destroyed
Russia has taken a step towards implosion
using illegal weapons of explosion
The uk is sick, the USA too
Join together in love , before it is you!!

Generous of heart

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

Paranoid Delusion

Splendid irrelevance
Where would I be without it?

1 John 3:18 NKJV

“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

Soup to ease the mind

Awake all night, I feel that I’ve lost control, my mind is buzzing, a horrible noise, it will not let me sleep, an electrical charge that’s somehow gone wrong of late, the buzzing noise of a mobile phone on silent vibrate,
I don’t know what to do it’s something that I hate,
incapable of movement like a chicken in a coup,
there is only one thing that may help,
I think I’ll make soup,

To the future see

Indescribable sway of sea creatures in the middle of a storm continuously cutting forward unable to conform
A king of unscrupulous tactics  not a person free
humanity has its foul stench a bloody gory scream
facing the unknown enemy, hardly ever seen

Bludgeoning his weakened pray, the win is his today, a sword; used to have a sharp point is a blunted heavy wedge, chunks missing from decapitation,
destruction of all nations grasping a ledge
survival in misery, bodies form a hedge

Decisive angry death, not a remorseful tone, no sorrow within their hearts, congenitally demone
stand to look at victory, burning pyrite
Smashing the skulls of a weakened mess
humanity at its end, sadly digressed

beautiful lush green hills, forests of gold
a sight of the future, be the story told
neglect responsibilities a dreadful tale, without the love of giving, the living be bold

Red

Red as the blood running through our veins, red flag flying high, a red vision congregates as a logic within our brain’s, poisoned with the red wine pouring down our drains, intergenerational excuse for who we are, the reason for traditional faults on our cars, no more shall we sway left from corruption of Tsars, Blue lost the vote from closing our bars, align the centre, wheels do turn, move too fast a house can burn, store black dust in a undertakers urn, put in its place a big green fern, will the human race ever learn?

Warm Home

It is cold, icy air blows
Watching the rain trickle down my window pain
reflecting light as drops fall…. scintillating
An appointment to attend, work is waiting
My mind in a tizzy, so what should I do?
Look through the window and think of you
be brave for a moment, put on a coat
But it is cold, icy air blows
I think I will stay at home
say “I’ve got a cold”

Twist-Ed

I dance among the Lily’s, the aromatic scent recalling the day that your love last went, no truth or lie, the scent lingers long, though I cannot recall the memory of our song,

The sheep flock on the hill in pastures anew, the hunger of the wolf, means no one is eating stew, mist rises up direct from the east, a full moon tonight quip’s  terror from the beast

Tracks run on far, too far to see, a trudging of a boy who lives in fantasy, the strength of the wind blows a storm across the land, a creaking broken roof brings death to the man

Lightening catch the fish, yet the anglers very far, exploding power towers have landed on his car, he lay there frozen stiff, wrapped with his belt, while electric powers sparking his dashboard does melt.

Trees around fall, the womans feeling small, her heart is up for claim and she wishes to live again, the shack that she is within spins to lose or win, rain is pelting down, she’s in need of a friend, yet it is a shame, she has o friend to send.

The storm passes by, still he struggles on, weak at the knees, the once good friends have gone, hands are stiffened with bitter twisted vines, it’s too long to continue on in a chilled ugly life, without his best friend, his one departed wife.

Mr Putin

Mr Putin - how do you want to be remembered ?
Killing children, Ukraine to tell
A bomb to power for a place in hell
Mr Putin - negotiate peace, a hundred year war for a thousand year lease
A world of Russians suffer for your abstract cause,
Has history not shown you a thing about war!
Mr Putin - how do you want to be remembered ?
A decade of ruin, a debt with a clause.
Live a hero or die a fool ?
