As I grow older feeling the pain
Changing life, looking back again
My glasses get stronger, my eyes get weaker
Foggier with each passing day
A little less courageous, a little more afraid
An unperfected book in a timeless way
Turning each day as if turning a page
My eyes fade with my life's age
Driving home in the hail and snow
It's misty too, then I groan!
'I can't see a thing, my wipers broke' ?
No it's just the eyes of a middle age bloke
Spectacles on now, it's not so bad
I can see clearly, yet now I'm sad
My eyes, like my life with a strong teenage phase
Is passing by and I'm at that age
My eyes are fading with my life's faze
When I'm really old and have lost my teeth
I'll look rather peculiar but feel like a thief
Living life on borrowed time
Probably won't have a pound, nickel or dime
You'll come home to find me in the dark
Take my hand to lead me through the park
No need for glasses when I'm blind
The television off, radio loud and unkind
I'll want it's pass, when I'm at them days
My eyes will be weak and my life will fade

Complicated
Our thoughts are not together when torn apart by work
Responsibility of earning puts our relationship in last
to show emotion openly is frowned upon by friends
With my mobile phone to you, a message I will send
my love for you is special, not for the world to see
A little kiss as you pass by, is more than enough for me
When we are together at the end of the day
We show our feelings openly, complete and un afraid
I will always love you deeply, whatever, come what may
That's why I stand alongside you "I Do" are the words I say.

Memories
When We were young, how we loved to climb trees
We would struggle up, right to the top
Higher and higher, scraping our knees
Until We reached the uppermost part
resting a branch under our thigh
Seeing across the land so high,
the broccoli woods reaching for the sky
The houses in the streets looked so small
How grand we felt, so proud, so tall
a happy feeling, joyously tranquil
Like Spurs beating Arsenal Five to nil
We'd cherish those days to return once more
the best in life from the top drawer
Warmer summers, sparkly springs
wonderful presents that Santa would bring
Mum and Dad with a precious kiss
Among the greatest memories
once cherished that I now miss
We would struggle up, right to the top
Higher and higher, scraping our knees
Until We reached the uppermost part
resting a branch under our thigh
Seeing across the land so high,
the broccoli woods reaching for the sky
The houses in the streets looked so small
How grand we felt, so proud, so tall

Just Living
It's not my life, I'm just living
Existing on this land of more and plenty
Refusing to fall or follow ways
of those with ill and gentry
Days pass without notice, people do too
Traffic flowing going who knows where
Concentrating on a meaningless cause
Staring from many windows at not much at all
A Sparrow of hope flies out of a tree
Little wings with a high pitched shrill
Raising my heart for a tiny glimmer
Then splats on the hair of a woeful sinner.
Sinking so low back to the beginning
It's not my life, I'm just living
Existing on this land of more and plenty
Refusing to fall or follow ways
of those with ill and gentry
Days pass without notice, people do too
Traffic flowing going who knows where

Bindweed
Things pass by, there's nothing we can do
Those that make accusations
Based on feeling blue
Decisions bring the changes to ones circumstance
Unwanted torment on the way
each day is but a dance
sit by and watch, with insignificant stride
the Devil on your shoulder
God your wanton bride
Innocent yet bound with invisible binding chains,
hurting without reason
satan's inherited gain
hanging high for treason.
giving you all the pain.
Pray and hope the past will not haunt you
may you never go there again
Those that make accusations
Based on feeling blue
Decisions bring the changes to ones circumstance
Unwanted torment on the way
each day is but a dance
sit by and watch, with insignificant stride
the Devil on your shoulder
God your wanton bride
Innocent yet bound with invisible binding chains,

Just thoughts
I pretend its a good world, with people who care
For the elderly, infirm, disabled and poor
Although in reality they're hard and selfish
Loving for money, they Don't care anymore
I went to a party to have a good time
Drunken and stupid, self loathing bastards
Alcoholic beverages poisoning minds
Unrighteousnessly wealthy covered in puke and grime
Thought I might chat to like minded folk
All that I found were shallow, high on coke
The rich with all the wealth, have enough to be charitably suited
Smart suits and polished shoes, going to homeless and sharing the booze
The worst thought that I ever had was to think that money was fair
A bodge up job for a villager, not spend their precious money, save a few bob
the wealthy can afford not to use a professional, everyone wants their money
Except the homeless and hungry, a home is too good for a tramp
He doesn't want it anyway, he's happy pissing it up the wall
Illusionary tactics shared by all, to free them from guilt so they may walk tall
If at any time you pass a man with an empty palm on an open hand
Consider the thought, he might not be abusing his right to survive
Genuine with mental torture could be his thing
An alcoholic problem might be his only sin
What god given right have we to judge him
A handful of cash might be his relief, for maybe one night of narcotic release
Maybe he needs a friendly face to help him along with friendship and faith.
Let down by the world, left alone, fed up of the so called human race.
Seeing it from a poor mans eyes, wealthy or not to put us in good stead for a heart of good lot.

Strange Day
Walking on a wall, feeling so tall
If the bricks were upright
One would be insignificant
Overshadowed, small
Passing through a cloud
Warmed through by the shroud
Bouncing on the softness
Vibrant colours flashing loud
How grey is today, bitter, miserable
Wrapped in clothes tight
a frightful sort of day
full of fear and might
Or is it just a chill one feels in the bones
Cannot wait to be home
In the warm tonight.
If the bricks were upright

Warmed through by the shroud
